Walk-Ons and Shoutouts

This is the hosted copy of the GRiMbot technical manual. Use the table of contents to open any page in the manual.

Walk-Ons and Shoutouts

Walk-Ons and Shoutouts share the Walk-On & Clip Overlay card, but their triggers and settings are separate.

Use the standalone pages for current instructions:

  • Walk-Ons covers assigned viewers, automatic playback on the first non-command Chat Message, personal commands, clip selection, and once-per-Stream-Session behavior.
  • Shoutouts covers Twitch permissions, clip selection, chat text, timing, testing, and failure handling.

Both windows are under Community → Arrivals.

Shared card settings

Open Overlays → Stage & Cards → Walk-On & Clip Overlay to edit card wording and appearance. Walk-On, Shoutout, and Clip have separate headline and subline settings. Appearance settings are shared.

AI headline and AI subline require AI Integration. If AI does not return text, GRiMbot uses the saved template.

The Twitch Clips Play control uses the Clip card settings. Customize Walk-On & Clip Overlay in Twitch Clips opens the same editor.
