Channel Points

This is the hosted copy of the GRiMbot technical manual. Use the table of contents to open any page in the manual.

Channel Points

Open Community → Rewards & Polls → Channel Points. This is the default GRiMbar path. Organize GRiMbar can move the window.

Channel Points shows the live redemption queue, saved redemption history, and each viewer's recorded lifetime spend. Create and edit rewards in Point Redemptions.

Before you start

  • The channel must qualify for Twitch channel points.
  • Authorize the broadcaster account in System Status.
  • The broadcaster token needs channel:read:redemptions and channel:manage:redemptions.
  • Create rewards in Community → Rewards & Polls → Point Redemptions if you want to manage their queue from GRiMbOS.

GRiMbot can fulfill or cancel only rewards that GRiMbot created through the Twitch API. Rewards created on the Twitch website remain visible in Point Redemptions, but their live queue must be handled on Twitch.

Handle a redemption

  1. Open Channel Points during or after a stream.
  2. Find the redemption under Live queue (unfulfilled).
  3. Click Fulfill after you have delivered the Reward.
  4. Click Cancel if the Reward cannot be delivered and Twitch should return the points.
  5. Wait for the window to reload.

The redemption leaves the live queue after Twitch accepts the new status.

Sections and controls

Section or control What it does
Live queue (unfulfilled) Shows up to 50 pending redemptions across rewards created by GRiMbot.
Fulfill Marks the redemption fulfilled on Twitch.
Cancel Marks the redemption canceled on Twitch and returns the points according to Twitch behavior.
Redemption history (saved) Shows the 50 most recent redemption records stored by GRiMbot.
Lifetime spend (points redeemed) Shows the 50 viewers with the highest recorded channel point spend.
Column headings Sort the rows already loaded in that section.

The live queue shows Reward, user, status, and redemption time. History also shows cost. Lifetime spend shows total spent, redemption count, and most recent redemption time.

Check the result

  • A new redemption for a GRiMbot-created reward appears under Live queue (unfulfilled).
  • Fulfill or Cancel removes it after Twitch accepts the change.
  • Recorded redemptions appear in history.
  • The viewer's total and redemption count appear in lifetime spend after GRiMbot records the event.

If something fails

  • If the window reports a permission error, re-authorize the broadcaster in System → System Status.
  • If the window warns that rewards are hidden, handle those rewards on Twitch or recreate them in Point Redemptions.
  • If a redemption never appears, confirm that the reward was created by GRiMbot and that EventSub is registered.
  • If history is empty while Twitch has older redemptions, remember that history comes from records saved by GRiMbot. It is not a full Twitch archive.
  • If Fulfill or Cancel fails, refresh and check whether another moderator already handled the redemption.

Limits

  • The live request asks Twitch for no more than 50 pending redemptions in total.
  • Saved history and lifetime spend each show 50 rows.
  • The window has no reward creation controls and no manual refresh button. It reloads after a status action or when reopened.
