Twitch Permissions
Twitch Permissions are OAuth scopes granted when you sign in as broadcaster or bot in SETUP BOT or System Status. System Status lists missing scopes. Re-authorize the matching account, then use Re-subscribe EventSub when EventSub must pick up new event types.
Bot account
The bot token is the chat identity when a separate bot is authorized. It needs chat read/write plus moderator actions if the bot is a channel moderator: shoutouts, timeouts, bans, pin.
If the bot is not a moderator, timeout, ban, pin, and !so fail even when GRiMbOS shows the command.
Broadcaster account
The broadcaster token covers channel-owner Helix APIs. It also includes chat scopes so you can run without a separate bot. Once a bot is authorized, IRC switches to the bot token.

VIP and moderator role changes require the broadcaster token. The user ID on the token must match the channel.
After granting new scopes
- Open System → System Status.
- Confirm missing scopes are gone.
- Click Re-subscribe EventSub if you added EventSub-backed features such as ads or hype trains.
