Media Library
Open Media > Library > Media Library to manage uploaded clips and their playback settings.
Use the folder tree to select Video, Audio, GIFs, or a folder below one of those groups. The table lists clips in the selected location.
Controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Volume | Sets playback from 0 percent to 150 percent. The value saves when you release the slider or finish a keyboard change. |
| Edit | Opens the clip settings. Double-clicking the clip name does the same thing. |
| Test | Sends the clip to its assigned overlay object. |
| × | Deletes the database entry and stored file after confirmation. |
| Refresh | Reloads clips, folders, and overlay targets. |
| + Add Media | Opens the separate Add Media window in the selected folder. |
The Edit window controls the label, enabled state, overlay target, folder, and the video-only Audio only setting. Copy URL copies a direct address for the stored file.
See Add Media for supported file types, archive rules, imports, upload limits, and failure handling.
Overlay and audio behavior
A clip plays only when its selected overlay target is assigned to an Overlay Browser layout and that overlay is loaded in OBS.
| Target | Expected use |
|---|---|
| Standard Video | Video in a placed playback region. |
| Fullscreen Video | Video across the full canvas. |
| GIFs | Animated GIF playback. |
| Sounds | Audio without a visible picture. |
Audio only hides the picture for a video clip while keeping its sound. Audio files do not use this setting.
OBS must have Control audio via OBS checked for the Browser Source. Sounds may overlap. Video and GIF clips use their assigned playback queues.
Test and verify
- Select the clip and confirm its overlay target in Edit.
- Open Overlays > Browser & Chat > Overlay Browser > Layout.
- Confirm that target object is assigned and visible.
- Keep the matching OBS scene visible.
- Click Test in Media Library.
- Check the picture and the OBS Audio Mixer.
The test confirms GRiMbot playback through the selected overlay. It does not test any Point Redemption, Custom Command, or other trigger that may use the clip.
If playback fails, refresh the library and read the displayed error. Then check the target object, Browser Source URL, source visibility, and Control audio via OBS. A deleted file URL and a clip URL from a different GRiMbot address will not work.
