Analytics and sessions
Channel Analytics
Stream → Live & Stats → Channel Analytics counts recorded Chat Messages by viewer.
Use Channel Analytics
- Choose 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 365 days, or all recorded time.
- Search for a viewer when needed.
- Click a column heading to sort.
- Click the same heading again to reverse the order.
The API returns up to 500 rows at a time and defaults to sorting by Chat Message count from highest to lowest. A period with no matching records shows an empty table.
Only records collected after GRiMbot was installed appear unless a legacy import was run. If StreamElements is installed, its panel shows imported StreamElements points and watch time. That import does not rewrite Twitch follow, subscription, cheer, or Raid records.
Stream Sessions
Stream → Live & Stats → Stream Sessions lists live Stream Sessions and Offline Chat Sessions. Select a period, then click a title to open the details.
The session list columns are Started, Title, Game, Follows, Bits, Length, Messages, and Chatters. An active live Stream Session shows Live for Length. An Offline Chat Session shows Offline Chat as its fallback title and a dash for Game.
An Offline Chat Session groups Chat Messages received while Twitch reports the channel offline. It is marked separately from a live Stream Session. Most Viewers and Lurk Points appear in session details, not in the session list.
Detail views
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Summary | Chat Messages, commands, words, follows, subscription events, cheers, bits, incoming Raids, and hype trains recorded for the Stream Session. |
| Timeline | Chat Message counts in five-minute buckets by default. The API accepts buckets from 1 to 60 minutes. |
| Hour heatmap | Chat Message counts by Pacific hour of day. |
| Stream Viewers | Concurrent viewer samples in five-minute buckets. Each bucket uses the highest sample in that bucket. |
| Events | Recorded follows, subscriptions, cheers, incoming Raids, and hype train start and end events in time order. |
| Chatters | Up to 20 top chatters by default. The API limit is 1 to 100. |
| Emotes | Up to 15 channel emotes by default. The API limit is 1 to 50. See the aggregation note below. |
Most Viewers is the highest concurrent viewer count recorded while the Stream Session was live. Stream Viewers is the series of concurrent viewer samples over the Stream Session. Older Stream Sessions can show no value when samples were not collected.
The live stream tracker samples the current Twitch viewer count when it polls stream status. Stream Viewers starts at the first five-minute bucket and continues through the bucket containing the last sample. Buckets without a sample in that range display zero. A zero can therefore mean that no sample was stored for that bucket.
The Emotes view does not count only emotes sent during the selected Stream Session. It finds everyone who sent a Chat Message in that Stream Session, then sums each channel emote's cumulative usage recorded for those people. The result ranks the broader recorded emote use of that session's chatters.
Verification and failure handling
- Compare the Stream Session start and end times with the Twitch stream.
- Open Timeline and confirm that known busy chat periods have Chat Messages.
- Open Stream Viewers and check for samples before relying on Most Viewers.
- A dash or empty graph means no matching samples were stored. A zero-filled bucket can also mean a missing sample. Neither proves that the stream had no viewers.
- If the current stream is missing, check the Twitch connection and live status in System → System Status.
- If old records are missing, confirm whether the legacy import was ever run.
Analytics records and Stream Sessions remain in the database. The source defines no automatic retention period or delete control for these windows.

Raid Tracking
GRiMbot records incoming Raids. Twitch does not provide the identities of everyone who arrived. GRiMbot estimates participants from people who appear in chat shortly after the Raid and were not already present. Retention checks at 5, 10, and 15 minutes are estimates.
Channel Points
The Channel Points window shows the queue, history, and lifetime spend. Create and configure rewards in Point Redemptions.
Twitch Clips
Browse clips, mark favorites, play a clip on the Stage overlay, or create a clip while live. The Twitch Clip object must be on an active layout. Edit its card wording on the Clip tab in Overlays → Stage & Cards → Walk-On & Clip Overlay.
