Stream Setup
Stream Setup changes the Twitch channel title, category, content classification, and tags.
Open GRiMbar > Bot > Setup > Stream Setup.
The window loads the current channel information and recent categories from Twitch. It can be used before a stream or while live.
Title and category
| Control | Result |
|---|---|
| Stream title | Sets the Twitch channel title. The field accepts up to 140 characters. |
| Game / category | Selects the Twitch category identifier sent when the settings are saved. |
| Search category… | Enters text for a Twitch category search. Press Enter or click Search. |
| Search | Requests up to 20 matching Twitch categories. |
| Add | Adds a search result to the recent list and selects it. |
The category list contains up to eight recent categories. GRiMbot combines categories it remembered with categories from recent Stream Sessions. The current category is added when it is not already present.
Adding a search result does not update Twitch. It only selects that category in the draft. Click SAVE to send it.
Content classification
The Content classification group displays the current labels returned by Twitch. Check or clear each label to match the stream.
On save, GRiMbOS sends only labels whose checked state changed since the last load or successful save. Twitch limits the number of label changes in one request, so the API splits larger changes into supported batches.
The available labels and descriptions come from Twitch. Stream Setup does not define a fixed local list.
Tags
Tags follow these rules:
- A tag cannot be empty.
- A tag cannot contain spaces.
- A tag can contain at most 25 characters.
- Twitch accepts at most 10 tags.
- Duplicate tags are ignored without regard to letter case.
The counter beside Add tag shows the current number out of 10.
To add a tag:
- Type the tag in Add tag….
- Press Enter or click Add tag.
- Confirm that the tag appears as a button below the field.
Click a tag button to remove it from the draft.
Save channel information
- Enter the Stream title.
- Select a Game / category, or search for one and click Add.
- Set the content classification labels.
- Add or remove tags.
- Click SAVE.
- Wait for Stream setup saved.
- Confirm the returned title, category, labels, and tags in the window.
- Check Twitch if an independent verification is required.
The button reads Saving… and becomes unavailable while the request runs.
Stream Setup always sends the trimmed title and current tag list. It sends the category only when one is selected. It sends content classification changes only when at least one label changed.

Failure handling
| Problem | Action |
|---|---|
| Broadcast information does not load | Check the Twitch Broadcaster Account in System Status, then reopen Stream Setup. |
| Category list is empty | Enter a category name and use Search. |
| Search does not run | Enter at least one non-space character. |
| Search request fails | Check the Twitch Broadcaster Account and the current connection in Connection Status, then retry. |
| Tag reports spaces | Remove spaces from the tag and add it again. |
| Tag is too long | Shorten it to 25 characters or fewer. |
| Add tag is unavailable | Enter a tag, or remove an existing tag when the list already contains 10. |
| Save fails | Read the error, correct the named field or Twitch authorization, then click SAVE again. |
| Twitch does not show the draft | Click SAVE. Changes are not sent while they remain a draft. |
Boundaries
Stream Setup does not start, stop, or schedule a stream. It does not change the broadcaster language even though the API supports that field. The current GRiMbOS window has no language control.
It does not edit past Stream Sessions. Use Live Dashboard to view the current Stream Session and Analytics and sessions for recorded sessions.
